OUR MESSAGE to Patients IGNORE THE ADVICE, "It's all in your head."

Migraine and other headaches are common, affecting up to 20% of adults and 10% of children. Headaches are disabling, resulting in time off work and away from family. The emergency room is not the best setting for headache management. It's too expensive and not equipped to take the time to treat headache patients. Narcotic analgesics are over prescribed for acute and chronic headaches and often complicate treatment. Contrary to what you hear, something can be done.

• 24-hour on-call accessibility, YES! There is someone listening.

   

• Thorough, cost-effective neuological evaluations including:
  • Neurological exam
  • Appropriate use of brain imaging (MRI, CT) and lab work.
  • Treatment is individualized, this is not a medical assembly line.
